Coastal Tennis Review welcomes considered pitches about tennis beside the sea: its courts, surroundings, shared customs and the experience of following a local game. Proposals should give readers a clear subject and a reason to look more closely.
What makes a strong pitch
Send a concise outline with a working title, the central idea, the intended reader and the points you would explain. We look for a defined angle, a calm and accessible voice, accurate terminology and a subject that remains useful beyond one match or season.
Suitable subjects
Ideas might examine how a coastal court is arranged, compare two ways of experiencing a tennis visit, explain a piece of tennis vocabulary or trace the background of a familiar club custom. We do not seek promotional copy, unsupported claims or instructions that require readers to assess hazards or facilities.
Sending a proposal
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A pitch is a proposal, not a commission; please do not send a complete draft unless it has been requested.
A court is part of its place
Tennis beside the sea is shaped by more than the lines on the court. The setting, shared routines and changing surroundings all deserve a closer look.
